A case which reflects the current meteorological climate - a whole year’s weather in one day, and so a rollercoaster of styles for every mood and eventuality. There is the terroir-driven Alsace Pinot Blanc from Gresser, whose multiple soil types and fascinating range of terroirs add nuance and complexity to the wines, and the extremely elegant Clos de L’Amandaie whose blend of Grenache Blanc and Roussanne gives delicious citrus, stoney notes. For the days in which sunshine blazes through the clouds we have the refreshing joys of the ‘Plume’ Chardonnay, crisp and light and so gluggable (which, at just 9%, you are free to do!), and for those days we have rosé too: the glorious brightness of the Eclat de Garrigue. 

The 1883 is for the colder nights and wetter days, dark and graphitey and ever so easy drinking (without compromising interest), and of course we must include our own Claret - our beautiful best selling all rounder. And friends, we may be drenched. We may be hail-bruised, we may be windswept, but it is truly springtime. And to reassure ourselves of the fact we have rosé too: the glorious brightness of the Eclat de Garrigue.
