St. JOHN is sustained by a root system of deep relationships, and our wine lists are a proud example of this: From the very beginning, over thirty years ago, Trevor took his little rental car across France, guided by word-of-mouth, forging friendships with winemakers whose bottles still feature on our shelves today, from vines now tended by their children or grandchildren.

The theme behind this case (of six or of twelve) is The Originals, and it features wines from those winemakers with whom we have worked from day one, people who are woven into the tapestry of St. JOHN. Some will be familiar to you, some will be the expressions of an evolution, one is even the result of the first Millesime Bio that Trevor went to, decades ago, with only 20 or so winemakers present - a far cry from the vast conference centre halls of today.
