Spring is here at last, and with it comes our bright and ebullient case of wines with a spring in their step.

Over in the vineyards there has been some winter rain to ease the pressure of the impending Summer heat, and vines are stirring in the warmer climes. This case is all about freshness, new mornings and early flowers - the wines have been wintering and evolving in the caves ready for just this moment. 

We take a wide sweep across France with a lift from the Gresser Crémant, an invigorating delight from the still-chilly Alsace. Rosé time is coming and with it that perennial favourite Le Corail, just inland from Cassis and the Mediterranean, and then there's a white Beaujolais, with a breath of white flowers and fields; a fresh Muscadet with minerality and hints of citrus; and of course there is Chat Fou, a favourite red from Eric Texier the master of terroir and nature. And finally, to remind you of the warm sun to come, there is a Roussillon to finish. Salut to the season!
