An autumn table! A harvest festival of wines! First our Crémant, to welcome and to refresh with hints of crisp green fruit. Next, we introduce a new St. Bris Sauvignon from our favourite Chablis folk. For those who want to taste the terrior, the very essence of the fruit, there is Peter Fischer’s PUR Blanc. The Pithon Blanc; a blend of Maccabeu, Grenache Gris and Grenache Blanc, is fresh and floral with hints of ripe yellow fruit from the Haut-Roussillon. To Haute Févrie and the Moulin de la Gustais, which comes from quartz soils and a little altitude. It’s fresh, with a gentle richesse and a mineral backbone. Then to the Toutes Aures Blanc, another of our fully biodynamic wines - balanced, clean, pretty but with a little oomph!

A new vintage of St. Mitre’s Cuvée M Rosé is here too - a fitting toast to the last of the summer sun. An elegant Saumur Champigny - Les Sables - is lightly plush, delivering vibrant Cabernet Franc fruit. The Revelette Rouge gives berry scents from Provence, whilst across to the Rhône in St. Julien-en-Alban we have Eric Texier’s popular Chat Fou. Both producers have mastered the use of fully organic methods for years. With plummy fruits, Lascaux’s Garrigue Rouge is fuller-bodied with fine tannins. As the name suggests, thyme, rosemary, umbrella pine and scrub oak provide the backdrop to these vineyards. Lastly, from Cahors comes the Silice, from the Famille Croisille. You can detect the limestone and taste the deep, elegant fruit that comes from the blend of valley and plateau vineyards. Cahors should be a region up among the best!
