Producer Profile Sebastien David
Sebastien David is a jovial sort of chap. Cabernet Franc is his thing and he really is very good at it. He’s based in Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil in the heart of the Loire. He makes use of interesting vessels for maturation, looking back to his family past by utilising clay amphorae and also being rather forward thinking with his use of giant concrete eggs during fermentation. Interestingly, he uses exactly the same grapes to make all three of his cuvees and the only difference are in winemaking technique, you would never tell after tasting his l’Hurluberlu and Kezako side by side!
