Eccles Stout 2021 - Pack of 6
*PRE-ORDERS NOW OPEN* for delivery in early December.
A GLORIOUS RETURN for 2021!
Eccles Stout is back and, along with an extremely chic new can featuring Fergus' own illustrations, it's Eccles-ier than ever with an increased emphasis on the spice and currants to delight the palate.
Following last year’s highly successful brew, we have partnered once again with our friends at 40FT Brewery to create cans, kegs and bottles of Eccles Stout. For this wonderful collaboration, 40FT has modified the recipe of their acclaimed Deep stout, to incorporate our famous Eccles cake mix.
The ever-popular Eccles Cake and Lancashire Cheese is one of the few dishes that never leave our daily-changing menus. And this special edition stout has been made using the key ingredients of those excellent Eccles. “You will taste the currants, dark brown sugar, allspice and nutmeg that all go into the brew”, says Trevor.
Seven different speciality malts are used to brew Deep, making it one of the most complex beers in 40FT's range. The result is a classic stout, full-bodied and smooth, with characteristics of coffee, dark chocolate and liquorice. A fine pairing with an Eccles cake, a seasonal joy!
