The third and most recent St. JOHN restaurant, opened in 2014 in a railway arch on Maltby Street as part of the burgeoning Bermondsey food scene. During the weekend bustling Maltby Street Market takes place on our doorstep and you can follow the railway tracks along the arches to Spa Terminus where cheese mongers, vegetable wholesalers, craft breweries and some of the finest suppliers in London ply their trade. We are proud to be a member of this passionate community.
St. JOHN Maltby is where we focus our wine activities, with an emphasis on interesting wines by the glass and delicious small plates to share. Its intimate environment makes it the ideal venue for private events.

We do offer corkage if you'd like to bring in your own wine for which we charge £15.00 for a bottle, £25 for sparkling or dessert wine bottles, £30 for magnums of wine, and £50 for magnums of Champagne.
If you would like to bring a cake to the restaurant for a special occasion, which you would like served in place of a dessert we charge £6.90 per person. We are of course delighted to discuss making a cake for your event and our reservations staff can give you more information on this when you call.
Please note that any card tips or discretionary service charges which you choose to pay are given to our staff who work in operational. A 2% deduction is made to cover the costs levied by our card service providers from which we don’t make a profit.
